Huge congratulations to our very own Holly McMillan for being named as a Top Five Finalist for Horry County Schools Support Staff of the Year!! You are an incredible asset to our team and community as a whole!

Congratulations to Carter Long who is the DAR Good Citizen! The Daughters of the American Revolution created the award in 1934 to recognize students who are dependable, patriotic, and show leadership and service. Carter is an outstanding representative of Myrtle Beach High School in all regards.

 

The Seahawk Mock Trial team competed in the regional competition and did an outstanding job, especially considering this was a brand-new club this year. Special acknowledgement was given to Tommy Smith and Paityn Streater who were recognized as most effective attorneys for their rounds, as well as Ana Carolina Ferrerira and Angela Perez-Pozos who were recognized as most effective witnesses for their rounds. We are so proud!!

MBHS DECA had a very strong showing at the State Competition and Conference in Charleston earlier this week! We had 47 students compete alongside 1,200 students from across the state. 22 students took home medals or DECA glass with Foster Cahill & Mary Hannah Morrison taking home 2! We also received recognition plaques for our membership campaign (159 total members) and for our marketing and community service campaigns!

We will be taking a small group of students to Orlando for the National Competition in April!
