Media Center
The Media Center is the hub of activity at Myrtle Beach High School. We have a collection of over 14,000 books that are updated annually and subscribe to over 42 magazine titles. Mr. Frye, Media Center Director, sponsors a student book club that meets weekly to discuss books they have selected to read. Laptops are also available to students for overnight checkout.

The library media program provides learning opportunities that integrate the South Carolina curriculum standards with information literacy skills to prepare our learning community for success in a global society. This is accomplished:
  • by providing intellectual and physical access to materials in all formats
  • by providing instruction to foster competence and stimulate interest in reading, viewing, and using information and ideas
  • by working with other educators to design learning strategies to meet the needs of individual students
